 Doug Walters
Building Manager
The Tower's current building manager, Doug Walters, became affiliated with Ouachita National Bank in 1985, and he continues to serve the Tower and its tenants today. Walters has a historic tie to the downtown area, as his grandmother's store, Johnnie Smith Elbert Ladies Ready to Wear, was located in the 200 block of DeSiard for many years. Other members of Walters' family have served as manager of the J.C. Penney store, when it was located on DeSiard, and as owner of Saunders dry goods store. Walters' wife Karen is the daughter of the owner of Bodan's Rexall Drug Store, also located on DeSiard Street until the 1970s. While Walters has been affiliated with the Tower he has seen many changes, but he has seen none as exciting as the renovations being done by the current owner; Vantage Health Plan.
